Octane Autofest at BIR

The Strait Design crew visited Octane Autofest in Brainerd on Sunday, June 7th.

Here are some of our photos, videos, and impressions.

Event was quieter than expected. Well-staffed.

Very little day-drinking was observed. Parking was organized. Zoo area was open to camping.

There must have been quiet a party on Saturday night, since every garbage and dumpster was overflowing. Trash littered the ground in the camping area and grandstands area. On the plus side, the outhouses seemed clean and all were upright.

Food trucks were keeping busy with many families walking around with cheese curds, mini-donuts, and loaded hot dogs.

Snowmobile racing on the pond was excellent! One of the best parts of Octane Fest was watching these races.

CBoys where out-and-about and Cody Buchanan was driving like the Formula Drift Pro he is. All were crowd favorites. The line for the CBoysTV meet-n-greet stretched clear across the parking lot!

It was nice to see so many families at this track again.

At the Forsberg Racing trailer his Formula Drift Pro car and Ayden Copham's Pro Spec cars where on display.

The new drift section of the road course looked fun to drive and was exciting to watch.

Skid pad was the same skid pad...but entertaining to watch.

The monster mud trucks were around, but not in the mud pit when we were there.

We had a great time watching the performance driving cars on the road course.

Overall - well done, BIR!
