ND Drift - Spring Matsuri

Over Memorial Day weekend we decided to check out a new drifting spot. So, we packed up our E46 and hit the road! A little over 3 hours later we reached our destination at Interstate Raceways; the home of ND Drift. This track maintains a 1950s drag strip and a newer drift course added in 2018.

Being it was the Spring Matsuri (祭り) (meaning a celebration and in this case celebrating the start of drifting season), they had a little more of an open layout and 70 drivers!

Like a choose-your-own-adventure, the track can be driven in many different layouts. We noticed some drivers kind of did the same thing over and over again and others seemed to take advantage of the freedom.

There were a variety of cars that showed up. A lot of BMW 3 series, and lots of Nissans Z's. It was also cool to see some Corvettes, 240's, and Mustangs, too!

Pit spaces were mostly in the grass or on the edges of the service road going through the pit area. There looked to be plenty of room for changing tires and hanging out.

Overall, the place seems pretty cool. It has me questioning, "why I have not driven it yet?"

This will be a great spot to go for a fun seat time event.
